July 13–15 (Wednesday–Friday)
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
St. John’s Episcopal Church (map)
205 Elmwood Avenue, Lynchburg

The purpose of the Kids’ Haven Grief Support Camp is to provide grief education and emotional support, free of charge, for youth ages 5 through 12.

At Kids’ Haven, we believe that children benefit from caring peer support and that each child has the inherent ability to heal oneself from grief. We want to provide an opportunity for youth to increase levels of hope, enhance self-esteem, and understand that they are not alone. We want each camper to be able to tell their story in a safe environment.

During the camp, our goal is for campers to:

  • Process grief in healthy ways

  • Meet friends facing similar circumstances

  • Learn that they are not alone

  • Build coping skills

  • Honor and memorialize their significant person that died

  • Have fun!
